Experience:

    • Ms Maisela is the Chairperson of the MIRF Board of Trustees. She is also a Pension Fund Trustee and Human Resources Professional, who has contributed extensively to transformation within South African businesses, as well as Pension Funds.
    • She has served as a Trustee and Specialist Adviser at the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund. She has also been the Chairman of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund since 2017, where she was also a member of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee, as well as the Strategic Investment Committee.  
    • Ms Maisela has extensive experience as a Board member and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Member of the American Society of Human Resources.

    • Mr Schoeman holds a B. Admin and a B. Com (cum Honoribbus) degree from the University of Johannesburg (Rand Afrikaans University). He has had extensive experience in the Retail Motor Industry, having served the industry in various capacities, from legal to general management, and now as Chief Operations Officer at the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI).
    • He also serves as an Alternate Director of MIFA, and a Trustee of the Moto Healthcare Medical Aid Fund.

    • He has extensive experience in the retirement funds industry with strong financial, legal and compliance expertise in retirement funds.
    • He is also a Director at Camano Consulting (Pty) Ltd, specialising in consulting services and training solutions to retirement funds and administrators. He was previously employed by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and its predecessor the Financial Services Board. He currently serves as an Independent Trustee, Section 26(2) Trustee and as a Principal Executive Officer on various retirement funds.

    • Ms Esterhuizen is currently the President of the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) since 2015 and is a Shareholder in Technicolour Sprayshop PTY(LTD). She has extensive management experience, having worked as CEO of Technicolour for 22 years, and also has served in various capacities in the Motor Industry, MerSETA, the National Skills Authority, South African Motor Body Repairers Association (SAMBRA), RMI, and the Free State Provincial Skills Development Forum. She received an Honorary Fellowship from the Institute of the Motor Industry in the UK in 2017 and is also an Honorary Fellow of the Vehicle Damage Quantifier Governing Body of South Africa.
