Chairperson of MIRF, Ms Mantuka Maisela received the Woman Leadership Award (ABSIP-FSTC) in the Exceptional Awards Category at the 2023 ABSIP Financial Services Sector Awards ceremony, held on the 16th November 2023.

Annually, ABSIP recognises individuals and companies who have served an impactful journey in their thought leadership and continued contributions to the financial industry in various categories. These prestigious awards are presented in various categories to award winners.

This year was a particularly challenging environment and the theme for the 2023 awards was for aptly captured as ‘Emerging Stronger – Honouring Resilience in the Financial Sector’. The evening was a combination of keynote speakers and awards, with the speaking engagements enlisting robust discussions from the industry, on the challenges and the future of the economy.

Ms Mantuka Maisela has also received several awards in the USA, awarded by the National Association of Security Professionals and the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP), for her dedication to advocating the investment in Women Asset Managers throughout Africa. In August this year, she was also awarded the Lifetime Achiever Award by Transformation Action Forum (TAF), for her dedication in championing the Transformation of the Financial Services Sector.
